General

What is Gameable?

Gameable is an AI-powered platform that turns your ideas into playable browser games. Simply describe the game you want in plain English, and our AI agent generates real Phaser 3 code in real-time — no coding experience required. You can preview, iterate, and publish your games to the Community Arcade for others to play.

Do I need coding experience to use Gameable?

Not at all! Gameable is designed for everyone — from complete beginners to experienced developers. Just describe your game idea in natural language, and the AI handles all the code generation. If you do know how to code, you can also view and edit the generated Phaser 3 source code directly.

Is Gameable free to use?

Yes! Gameable offers a free tier that lets you create and publish games. There's no credit card required to get started. We offer a generous free-forever plan so you can explore AI game creation without any commitment.

What kind of games can I make?

You can create a wide variety of 2D browser games including platformers, space shooters, puzzle games, endless runners, top-down RPGs, arcade classics, racing games, and more. The AI supports physics, tilemaps, particle effects, animations, HUD/UI overlays, and audio — all powered by Phaser 3.

AI & Game Creation

How does the AI game creator work?

Our AI agent uses Claude (by Anthropic) via the Vercel AI SDK to understand your game description and generate real, working Phaser 3 code. The agent follows a structured workflow: it creates a game scaffold, generates scenes, adds physics and game logic, creates AI-generated art assets, and validates the output — all in real-time while you watch via the live preview.

Can the AI generate art and sprites for my game?

Yes! Gameable integrates multiple AI image generation models including Recraft V3 for 2D cartoon and vector art, FLUX LoRA for pixel art sprites, and GPT Image for general assets. The AI can create characters, backgrounds, tilesets, UI elements, and more — all optimized for browser game use with transparent backgrounds.

Can I iterate on my game after the AI builds it?

Absolutely! The AI agent maintains conversation context so you can keep chatting to refine your game. Ask it to add new features, change mechanics, swap art styles, add levels, tweak difficulty, or fix bugs. Each iteration updates the live preview instantly. You also get full version history to undo changes.

What game engine does Gameable use?

Gameable generates games using Phaser 3 (v3.90), the most popular and mature open-source HTML5 game framework. Phaser supports physics (Arcade and Matter.js), tilemaps, sprite animations, particle effects, audio, and much more. Games run directly in the browser with no plugins required.

Community & Publishing

What is the Community Arcade?

The Community Arcade is Gameable's public game library where creators publish their AI-generated games for anyone to play. Browse trending games, top-rated games, and new releases. No account is needed to play — just click and enjoy!

How do I publish my game?

Once you're happy with your game, click the Publish button in the game editor. Your game will be bundled and added to the Community Arcade where anyone can play it. You can set a title, description, genre, thumbnail, and tags to help players discover your creation.

Can I like, comment, and rate games?

Yes! Sign in to like your favorite games, leave threaded comments, and give star ratings. Gameable has a full social layer including leaderboards, creator profiles, and trending charts. Your feedback helps creators improve and motivates the community.

Technical

Is the generated code safe?

Yes. All AI-generated code runs in a sandboxed environment powered by Sandpack (by CodeSandbox). The code is validated and safety-checked before execution. Generated games run entirely in-browser with no server-side access, ensuring a secure experience for both creators and players.

Can I export or download my game's source code?

The game code is visible in the editor's code panel powered by Sandpack. You can view, copy, and learn from the generated Phaser 3 source code. This makes Gameable a great learning tool for aspiring game developers who want to understand how real game code works.

What browsers are supported?

Gameable and all generated games work in any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and more. Games are built with standard HTML5 Canvas via Phaser 3, so they run smoothly on desktops, laptops, and most mobile devices.

Do I own the games I create?

Yes! Games you create on Gameable are yours. You retain ownership of your game designs, code, and creative direction. AI-generated assets are created specifically for your project.
